IT guy here. Its bloatware at this point. It used to be the bees knees. Now its not. It sold out and became bloatware. No need for it. Windows Defender does an excellent job. Just my 2 cents.
Windows Defender, a shitty VPN and tampermonkey are all I need.

Windows already has built-in protection these days with Microsoft Defender.

I'm not computer expert, but I have used Malwarebytes for years and never had any problems. This is a very good price.

Imagine if car makers had subscriptions for car brakes. 'So, you wanna use ALL four brakes? Ok big spender'

I have a lifetime license from back when they sold those.

This app is very good at providing peace of mind. If there's something lurking on your PC, this one has an extremely high chance of finding it.

I found a card from years ago. I was going to throw it out but figured what the heck let's try it to see if it's valid. I was surprised it was indeed valid so one of my computers now has a lifetime license.

Agree keep windows updated and haven't had a problem for years.

This software might only come in handy if your downloading games/apps/music off of odd unknown websites where you have a potential of getting viruses in your game files etc.

Will this replace Windows Defender on my Windows 10 computer when support ends?
Will it work on my Windows 8 computer?

All of these anti-malware software do the same thing, including Defender. Real-time scanning will detect malicious files downloaded.

Windows 10 support ended back in October unless you're paying for some kind of extended support. I'd advise upgrading to Windows 11.
