Practically buying individually is the way to go in case a fan starts making noises or fails.
Kinda backwards thinking on this product.

I don't understand your reasoning. What about a new build? Personally, I like to replace my fans every couple of years so they're nice and clean and don't ever fail.

Well everyone has a different strategy in builds. I've been getting the $9 a pop premium silent 120mm fans replacing when one goes bad.

What would u do if the one if the middle goes bad? Can't swap it bc it's 'daisy chained.'

Each fan has multiple connectors. Two for male & female PWM and if it's the ARGB version then an extra two for male & female, which allows you to daisy chain multiple fans together. If one goes bad you can just replace one fan.
