Mobil 1's summer rebate is a strong value play on eligible 5 quart purchases, especially for Walmart buyers and anyone stacking store cash back. The promo terms allow up to four gifts per household, and the reward includes a $10 prepaid Mastercard plus a collectible cup, with some submissions accepted on a single receipt or across multiple receipts. The main catch is the rebate process itself, which has produced delayed status updates, no submission found messages, and several denials that needed phone follow up. A workable deal if you are willing to stay on top of the paperwork.
Common Questions (5)
The status site can show "No submission was found," and some claims are initially denied for receipt-date or documentation issues. Calling 866-895-9127 has often led to the claim being found, corrected, or resubmitted, with some approvals later issued by email or USPS.
Walmart purchases have been approved both in-store and online, including multiple successful submissions from Walmart receipts. Some claims tied to online orders were later denied or needed follow-up, so keeping a clear receipt or invoice and checking status is important.
The promo includes a collectible cup with each qualifying 5-quart purchase, and the cup is described as metal rather than plastic. Some approvals also ended up paying more than expected on later claims, but the standard offer is the $10 prepaid Mastercard plus the cup.
The offer is limited to four gifts per household. The rebate center also confirmed that buying all 20 quarts on one receipt is okay, as long as the total stays within that four-gift cap.
A single receipt can be used for multiple qualifying purchases by selecting the quantity on the submission page, and up to 4 receipt files can be uploaded. Separate submissions also work for separate purchases, as long as each claim stays within the household limit.

Where are you getting the datapoint that they reject online orders? User error submitting wrong receipts or clear full receipts? Non-participating online retailers?
I have successfully done many submissions for Mobil rebates using online purchases from Walmart.
Other than that, Toyota recommends 5w-20 or 5w-30 in most other countries except the U.S. where they went with the higher fuel economy thinner oil.
In my older Tacoma, it's 5w on the label under the hood. In the same engine on newer models, everything is 0w-20.
I go with the original 5w, still using 5,000 mile changes.

I don't think separate receipt is needed from what I read, you can submit single receipt and select you bought it 2 x 5 quarts (upto 4 is limit) at rebate submission page
Select two
IIRC it took a few weeks for the (digital) rebate to be approved and delivered via Email FWIW.
Haven't done a rebate with Mobil 1 , but just hoping it works the same.
I had $4 Walmart cash available + $4 walmart cash back rebate so it was really a slickdeal. THX

NEVER had any oil leaks (valve cover, rear main seal, front crank seal).
TBH I just read the label stated "For cars 75k miles and up" and never failed me. (all honda vehicles)
My last high milage vehicle 2002 honda acord 4cyl I got from my sister in early 2015 with ~160k I exclusively put High Mileage full Syn oil and changed it every 5k miles. Before that was a 1999 Civic coupe EX with 230k miles No leaks. Owned it for 6 years.
In 2020 my neice got the accord with 230k miles and not a single drop, not even a trace of potential oil leakage anywhere. She drove it for 3 more years with Gawd knows what oil and it still wasn't leaking + never burned any oil either. She totalled it in 2023.
I truly believe It was prevention instead of cure.
After that many miles and heating/cooling cycles the seals are bound to be failing already, they may not just be visibly leaking, but still degrading nonetheless.
