I would not recommend because of the lack of image stabilization and the smaller (older) FW-50 battery. If just using for streaming where the camera is stationary and you are using a dummy battery then you should be fine. I got this when it first came out and I went with the A6600 instead. That was a bigger difference than I thought. I'd rather get a used 6600 then this 6400.
