I wouldn't hesitate to pick this up if I didn't already have the older versions of both the blower & trimmer. My son has these and they are much more efficient than the original versions I bought when Ego first came on the market. Just not to have to mess with loading the string in the trimmer is a game changer. And the new blower just does a better job. Period. Having said that, mine are still going strong all these years later. When they die though, I'm getting the new ones. The 2.5 Ah battery is fine for the trimmer (as well as the hedge trimmer & the edger) but the 5 Ah is necessary to run the blower for any length of time, IMO. (It's heavy though.) Just my 2¢.

Folks, I would urge you to look for and look at model #'s
This seems a common theme with EGO so-called deals. Understand there is a commercial series which is what you want, most of the time. Then a consumer grade which is the typical everything you see here. Model numbers matter folks. Check those numbers!

what he said. I'm tempted to buy them for the batteries alone... but well, mine still work. I sometimes hope they break so I can buy new ones. I upgraded my original mower to select cut blades (I changed the spacers too so it's safe) but I wanna get a new one! and that trimmer is nicer. I did recently buy the roto cut as a splurge, it's fun AF.
