No I think that is a good vacuum and you will be happy with it. These days, if you get 3 years with the same vacuum, call that a win. If you have pets, well then that is amazing to get 3 years.

Nothing for under 100. Cheapest actual good vacuum I've found is the Miele C1 with the Turbo head. It's bagged though so you also have to factor in that cost.
What do you think about it? At 28 bucks its almost free.
It works decently, I have a small area to upkeep and it's used a few times a week for fast pickups. If it lasts a year, it was money well spent. And so far it's performing well so it's a good buy.
Picked one up... first impressions: yeah it's light, but you know the reason: everything is plastic and it definitely feels low-end but it's fine.
Actual suction is good, I can tell because I can feel the resistance when I'm vacuuming my low pile carpet (it doesn't have spinny wheel assistance feature) which makes it a little harder to push. I'm happy with performance on my rugs.
Hardwood, I'm somewhat less impressed by. It has a weird habit of kicking crumbs around because some blowing happens somewhere near the sucking element. I don't know if I like this or not yet, but it glides around my wood floors so I can push it in any direction, the wheels don't roll lol. Makes it really easy to maneuver around though.
Overall I'm happy with it. Yeah it feels cheap, but it WAS cheap, it's light and gets the job done. Hopefully I get a couple of years out of it.
