ABS Fine for carry on, but I sure as hell would never check it as luggage.

I have been forced to gate check my carry-on roller more and more recently. They used to ask for volunteers now it may not be a choice anymore. Which makes this not a great option even for carry on.

I fly 2-4 times a month and have never been forced to gate check a bag, by any airline, ever.

Forced gate check is highly dependent on boarding group. If you fly 40 times a year, you probably have status to get a better boading group. People who fly 3 times a year and buy basic economy have a much better chance of getting force gate checked.

Ordered! Seller sent the wrong size, got a 25". Not sure if it was just me, or if the listing was supposed to be for that size. But the luggage seems solid.
