Why? I have been running the old M18 for years now with no issues. The blower will drain the battery in about 30 minutes on full blast but I have no other issues. This system come with the Forge battery which is much better.

It's a great trimmer for an 18v platform, the 18v platform is just not very good for yard tools. You need a lot of very expensive batteries to get anything done. Fine if you already have a bunch of big M18 batteries (other than the annoyance of constantly having to change them), but I wouldn't choose M18 as a starting point for lawn tools. Strongly prefer my greenworks 60 volt.

Great price on the bundle. Return what you don't need for a partial refund to make the trimmer cheaper. Better than my non-quick lok so far.

That's what I did earlier this month but I don't think this one is hackable. When you add them to the cart it shows them priced together not broken out.

Even though the aforementioned device is 18 volts, it is still significantly better, if only because the motor was built in the body of the device, if only in its tip like in Greenwork

Beyond the batteries I wouldn't buy this for the simple fact that 1. Milwaukee doesn't have a full range of lawn tools and 2. Their trimmers are not universal attachment compatible. Milwaukee when it comes to lawn tools is a worse version of EGO with less power.

Anyone have comments about the string trimmer head not holding up. I've read a lot of poor comments and was wondering if it's for like the old generation or if it carries to this one?

I have had these for years. I use the line trimmer, edger, double battery blower and hedge trimmer and pole pruner every week. Awesome tools and no little carburetors to keep clean.

This seems to be coming up as $349 not $329. Still a good deal tho
