I'm sure it's a nice switch and this matches previous lowest price, but one wonders if it's worth 2x the price of the oddly-named Chinese ones or $20-30 over the known Chinese brands.

Reviews of many of the off-brands you mention note that the chipset many of the cheap ones use are all-or-nothing 2.5g. If any port is 10/100/1000, all fall back to that. Also some heat dissipation problems.
The closest cheaper competitor would be the TP-Link (https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-TL...ref=sr_1_8) which I've been using without problem for a year.
