This 16 inch M1 Pro MacBook Pro is being framed as a strong refurb buy for a big screen, fast everyday performance, and excellent media quality. The mini LED display, loud speakers, MagSafe, and three Thunderbolt 4 USB C ports stand out, and it still handles creative work, development, video editing, and heavy multitasking well. The main cautions are weight, since it is a chunky laptop, and refurb condition, with battery health and cosmetic wear varying by unit. Long term macOS support and the soldered storage also matter, so it feels best for buyers who value power and screen quality over portability.
Common Questions (5)
Reported units vary widely, from around 42 cycles at 96% health to 61 cycles at 92%, 129 cycles, 180 cycles at 88%, and some much worse examples with 338 or 780 cycles. Battery condition is a key thing to check on arrival because it can differ a lot between refurb units.
16GB is enough for most Mac users and everyday work, while 32GB is mainly useful for local AI, heavier multitasking, or more demanding creative workflows. If you know you need extra headroom, 32GB is the safer long-term choice; otherwise this 16GB model should still hold up well for a couple more years.
It is very heavy for a laptop and can feel uncomfortable on your lap. It is best suited to desk use or occasional travel rather than frequent commuting.
Expect roughly a few more years of macOS support, with security updates lasting longer than feature updates. Several comments place support ending around 2027-2028 for OS updates and around 2030-2031 for security updates.
No. The RAM and SSD are soldered to the board, so upgrades are not practical after purchase.

Your second link is to X86 emulators (virtualization) for X86 Windows/Linux boxes, which has exactly the same problems as what I list above.
So, no, you can't run modern ARM MacOS on a PC. I'm not sure how you would run "newer apps" on your Lenovo.
Years ago (for laptops, integrated graphics last worked in the 2020-era 10th gen Intel models...) one could Hackintosh these machines fairly easily, but they're all completely obsolete in 2026, and a basic $500 Macbook Neo destroys them performance-wise.
Hopefully systems with their own chips will end up being supported longer but I'm not risking it without the price being lower.
This used reseller is trying to pawn off off-lease machines for far too much compared to newer options. But if you had one of these machines, you'll have a VERY hard time retaining any of the original value of the machine. For comparison, the Intel-era Macs before the M-series introduction retained a LARGE chunk of their value.
What's the play here? Buy used, locally. A bit higher risk, but if you can verify the machine is in good health and not locked, you're probably getting a better deal than anything on here.
