I will never buy a Roomba again. I had 2 break on me with barely any use. My last one was an i6 so it was a higher end model than this i5. The left wheel motor suddenly stopped lifting itself onto the base so it would always turn left on the base as the right wheel lifted up. It could not reach the base to charge itself. Very unreliable. I use a Roborock now. Hopefully its more reliable. At least it's way faster at mapping a room. It's also a better mop than my last robot mop with its spinning mops. the last mopping robot only pushed dirt around

I have 4 roombas right now. About every other year I buy another on one of these sales, throw out the oldest one or give it away if it still works, and then put the newest one on the main floor then rotate the others around (main -> upstairs, upstairs -> basement, basement -> storage room where the litter boxes are). Other then replacing a battery and the normal filters/brushes/etc I have yet to have a roomba actually break in 10 years now. I do usually get the higher models though, like I have a j9+, a i9+, a i6, and a i7. All were bought refurb on one of these sales though.

The app does kinda suck sometimes though, it gets confused with that many robots and I can click on #2 then go to product settings and it shows me #4. Kinda annoying.

Base just melted on me AGAIN 3 days ago and out of warranty now, this is a common issue. Had to RMA the vacuum itself twice, never buying a roomba again. Thing has always sucked (in a bad way), somehow my old 2010ish era roomba was smarter than this thing, waiting for a roborock to come in today, hopefully it's a much better experience

In my experience this was a HORRIBLE vac with multiple problems. As a so called refurb, I don't see that experience improving, and since you are buying it with a used battery on an old model, that's a consideration as well. Can't recommend it.

For a vacuum its probably okay but do not get this mop system. Mop does noting just dragging a rag over the floor.

Regular price of $400 is completely bogus for new. $230 at Amazon right now: https://www.amazon.com/iRobot-Sel...B0C4N37V2Z

Never buy irobot again. They secretly killed old roombas. Mine won't connect to app anymore and I'm not the only one.

I bought the I7 model and it has been nothing but a nightmare for errors and poor QC. Also, it uses a camera where if it runs into an obstacle, it will send the picture back to irobot to analyze what it is. SOOOOOOooooo they literally have pictures of the inside of your house.
