I have this flashlight and it's a hoot. First time I used it was walking my dog with my 5 y/o son through our neighborhood. My son was holding the flashlight and somehow set it to strobe mode, and he was flashing the beam all over. Next thing I know some random old dude stuck his head out his front door and started yelling about how he thought the cops were outside his house and how we needed to be careful with such a powerful flashlight.
10 out of 10 hilarity. Highly recommend.

This is my everyday carry flashlight. I recommend it hardly, I do think there's some slight improvements that could be made, but it's pretty good. I like it because of the considerable range that fits in your pocket and lasts a long time.

it does take up a fair amount of room in my pocket, but it's value is simply worth it to me.

Thanks for the post. Had my eye on sales for a good thrower like the IF22A for a while since I don't like the look SF26 or it's button layout, or the fact that you have to unscrew the collar to see the status light and charge it. Finally a decent deal. Like I need one more flashlight! lol. I don't use all the Sofirns I have now! I have the discontinued Sofirn SC03 flashlight/lantern which is a pretty good thrower in it's own right.

Its a great thrower, but for a edc it has a very narrow focused beam. For a edc I like a sofirn sc18. But thats 18650 powered.
