MERACH is a great brand for rowing machines. This deal is absolutely slick if you want a water rower. I own a MERACH that doesn't have water. I got it for the same price on Black Friday last year. Kinomap costs a small amount monthly (I think I pay $9/m for it) and it offers a competitive reason to keep up with your workouts.

Based on the descriptions and reviews, I am going for this one over the magnetic one from a couple of days ago. Thanks OP!
Also, it looks like Walmart's R14 Pro is the same rower as the R28 on Amazon and the Merach site.

returning the magnetic merach i just ordered from amazon and picking up this instead. this one looks like it has better range of motion, fixed foot pedals, and a bit nicer to look at. plus a nice whooshing sound

Good deal. However, if you know you like rowing and prefer water rowers over Concept 2, then I'd recommend trying to pickup a used Waterrower brand one from FB marketplace. You can usually find one for under $300 used, and they're the best in class for water rowers and are BIFL.

Looks like a good deal, i too remember house of cards but bought a brand new concept 2 for $1000 bucks in 2016. Still using today, down so many pounds and its 10 years later, only thing i ever do is oil the chain and replaced a foot strap my dog chewed up. I don't even use the straps anymore but my kid does. I wanted water bad, but the concept 2 are seriously indestructible I remember the strap breaking in house of cards so yeah...

I'm not a rowing enthusiast so I can't speak on the best type of rower for any specific person but I bought a water rower myself and love it for the sound alone. Half the time I row I don't even listen to any music, just the repetitive whoosh as I pull the handle back. I've even watched a youtube VR video on an Oculus of a kayaker rowing through the water ways of a city while doing it and it was actually really cool because the sound of the rowing didn't take away from the immersion of the video.

I bought one of these three weeks ago and absolutely love it.

Very sturdy. Folds up and stores super easy.

Wheels on bottom makes it easy to move.

Now to get Walmart to refund the extra $38 I spent on it at the time.
