Ordered it last week and received a defective product. It's going back.

I ordered last week and when received it was missing the battery. Called support and they sent me a replacement. Seems to be working well so far but if I knew it was this much trouble I would have bought a roborock from Amazon.

Great price, but I would advise against buying one. I my last 2 roombas included an i6 broke really quickly. It also worked really slowly compared to the Roborock I just bought from Costco. The Roborock finishes cleaning in 15 minutes, the Roomba took an hour. Roomba also just filed for bankruptcy. https://www.npr.org/2025/12/15/nx...bankruptcy

Product: I got one of these in 2023 (paid retail minus a coupon) and liked it so much that I took a chance on an Amazon refurb ($300?) for my other floor and that was working so well i bought a second refurb. They're all still doing great. The mapping took forever, but the object avoidance and mechanics are LEGIT. we have long haired pets, long haired people, and live in a dusty part of the country and way too much wall to wall carpeting but these machines take care of business. They run when we leave the house and the air quality has never been better. They are work horses and while I've yet to replace a brush in three years, generic parts and bags for the base are cheap and readily available. J series is fire. I series is not as good so do not confuse the two.

Store and Price: Nah. Tech drops in price but this is too low. Like scam low. If it were Amazon? Sure. But eBay? I don't know man. I just don't know.

Bout a refurb a few years ago. Had an issue not sucking things up. They sent a new motor which was simple to install. Worked flawless after that. Liked it so much I bought another refurb for upstairs! No problems with that one.

Bought the j5+ few months ago. Numerous problems, turns off every 2 mins, even after meticulous troubleshooting. Wifi cuts off, robot often doesn't make it back to charger base. Needless to say, this has been an absolute headache.

I have an old one of these. Still works, sort of, just started the red ring of death and may be dead as of a few days ago. Its dumber than a sack of hammers, and bumbles into everything. Old old outdated tech. I have a Dreame x40 ultra that has some AI to map and avoid poop for one thing. There is a reason sadly iRobot filed for bankruptcy. They make nothing good right now. Absolutely any company makes so much better robots. And yes the bumbling into your furniture leaves marks. My roomba cleans a mostly empty room and still gets stuck. Friends don't let friends buy roombas.

OOOoooo I just learned even a newer reason not to buy irobot. It sends images back to it's company to determine what an obstacle is. The company, iRobot, will have pictures of the inside of your home. 🤔

There's literally nothing wrong with Ebay, and it goes this low often on Official Ebay Vendor Stores and woot.
