This may be a better deal. Slightly lower specs for $161.98, or $100 without the small solar panel.

Anyone know how much sun it takes to charge? On the verge of getting an ev and I looked into rack mounted solar panels but they said won't get enough to make much difference. My daily commute is 75 miles (plus any additional day trips) and home 120v charge MIGHT replace half that overnight. I figured I may need to plug to a public fast charger every other week. This sounds like a good alternative where I can plug in during the day at work if it captures enough.
Hahaha just get a gas car. Easy.

You need 3-6kw panels to charge an EV

The Amazon reviews are mostly for a solar panel that attaches to a ring camera. I will pass
The $250 1024wh battery is alot more useful

Is your clothes dryer electrical hookup near by? You can often use those.

Not really but in a pinch i will. I was overly optimistic when i saw 600wH but in retrospect thats not even 1kW and only 288wH battery. IF it actually hit 600w then in a 8hr day best it could do is about 9 miles.

Mine came in for $80 without solar panels. Appears to be good quality. At $120-180 its overpriced for 288whr, should be 600whr range.
Tested it on 7.5 cu ft frigid. Next test is 16.5 cu ft
I got $250 Pecron 1kw 1600W to compare.
88whr pack is useless. Sweet spot is 288-999whr

Would this be overkill if I wanted to power a hydroponic tower outside and perhaps use it to power an airbrush compressor when airbrushing the occasional model?

Assuming 70% efficiency on the solar panel and other losses, it would take between up to 6 hours to fully charge the battery. This will mean you will likely have to reposition the panels (start at an angle and transition to flat) to optimally capture light. If you don't, it may take into the next day as you might only have good sun on the panels 1/2 that time without repositioning. All in all, off grid recharging sounds amazing for boondocking etc. Solar isn't always included so I consider it a bonus.
I purchased the solar panel with 60W capacity a little over a month ago. Unfortunately, the solar panel arrived defective. I tested it for days and even tried using different cables, but the maximum solar charge I could get to it was only 2%. I sent an email to the seller, but I never received a reply. I also tried contacting Amazon, but they informed me that the return window had expired. As a result, I am left with a defective solar panel. I strongly advise against purchasing from this seller. If you are considering buying a solar panel, I wish you the best of luck.
