32GB DDR 5600 SODIMMs (2x16GB) - ~$230-$250 (This just went up $30... Ugh)
1TB NVMe - ~$100
Remaining Barebones PC w/ Win11 Pro - ~$146+tax
As much as it pains me to say this, this is one of the better deals for a Ryzen 5 7640HS box. It's Zen 4 / RDNA 3, so reasonably current. I like the chip better than the 7735HS PCs floating around, as that's an older Zen 3+ / RNDA 2 CPU. The 7640HS will perform similarly despite being a 6-core CPU vs the 7735HS being 8-core, because the Zen 4 architecture is more efficient per watt. The 760M will perform in-line or better than the 680M in most games. The CPU will do even better on single-core dominant tasks, and at a lower average power draw compared to the Zen 3+ and older chips.
PELADN is another one of those bottom of the barrel Chinese PC OEMs, the parent this time being Shenzhen Panlei Intelligent Technology Co, so expect zero support if you have a warranty or tech issue. As always, wipe these before using them, and do not use these for serious work. Certainly not business purposes. They're fine for a cheeseball tinkering PC, emulator box, media PC, etc. Sadly, we're up to nearly $500 for a 32GB DDR5 mini now, and no signs of improvement. The secondary market on eBay actually got worse this week, I'm afraid to say.
What you're paying for with Amazon is an easier return experience if the PC ends up being garbage, although eBay's buyer protections are fairly good as long as you can prove the item is not as promised.

I got my firebat (16GB/512GB) in the day, just before prices jumped and I also purchased a hard drive (2TB) and RAM (32GB) at the same time. I have the old RAM doing nothing and I am thinking of selling my system with original specs on Ebay for $400ish... that is 8745HS (by the way, I think the 7840HS is a better CPU), 8GB x 2, 512 M.2 SSD (I think it is gen 3 but I will not tell anyone) and Windows Home.
7840hs or 8745hs or 8845hs I think there may be one more.
