as good as it gets, and better than the pelican deals at b&h a few days ago. the nanuk is reviewed a bit better than the similar pelican

great deal considering that the lid organizers are included in the price. pelican always charges more just for those.

I have both this and the equivalent pelican (though my pelican is about 10 years old so quality may be different from today), I only use mine for storage, not travel but find the nanuk more than good enough, and they don't charge for the extras like lid organizer. I think the lid for the nanuk feels not quite as sturdy

I beg to differ. Quality is rugged strong, I pack it full of metal (rigging/climbing gear) and it's been holding up as a carry-on for flights. The polyurethane wheels cannot be beat, next to the pelican's all plastic rattle wheels

I think the nanuk seems just as rugged and all the reviews seem to agree. The latch opening is much easier compared to the pelican as well.

Don't get me started on those latches, I LOVE THOSE DAMN LATCHES!and the handle that pops up for wheeling around, (creaked a little, and initially thought this could break) but it's holding up through the test of time.Nanuk, FTW. Pelican is an afterthought, unless I find a super slick price on it I will always choose Nanuk.
