I would say use the hose end sprayer bottle for quicker effectiveness. Then broadcast the granules for longer lasting effectiveness. Reapply the granules every 2-3 months. But the hose end sprayer can be finicky, so there's that.

I second that. The liquid is handy for your bushes as well where its troublesome to treat them with granules.

I suggest creating a border with the granules and spraying in the area between the borders for quick knockdown.
