Does anyone know if getting the dcd806 is a benefit with that built in anti-kickback, or is it more of a nuisance?

I have both. I don't care for the anti-kickback. This is a really good deal for the 805.

ive got the 806. at times it can be annoying but ill be honest ,as some one who has had cheap amazon drills and always had experienced kickback , the 806 is an insane power difference. even on the lowest setting it is a beast, honestly too much power for a homeowner. Because of that i would say kickback tech has been great for me as im quite unexperinced. anti kickback is a little sensitive and you can trigger it easily which annoys people as it feels like you are wrestiling the drill at time to not swivel too much doing anything. Ive triggered it just by reorienting the drill so just something to watch out.

the 805 is a great drill for 99$, i got my 806 for the same price from fastners i believe. you cant go wrong with both

I have the dcd 999 & tore my bicep , yeah the anti kick back might have been a good thing to have.
