Contains PFAS. When you insert it into a 800-1000F itll release all those insanely toxic fumes into air and possibly your pizza.

I like buying these style of peels and stripping the paint off. Cheap and much safer to use.

What is your source for this? Typically these types of peels are anodized aluminum, not polymer coated. To be clear: anodized aluminum peels, which this appears to be, do not contain pfas.

The ninja oven goes up to 700 so it should be good?

This seems like a bad idea all around -- if your dough is softer, which a lot of times thinner pizza dough is, the holes of the perforations will actually cause it to stick more, not less (think of it like a giant cheese grater type surface). Plus, personal preference is some cornmeal or semolina to line the peel....it actually adds some texture -- but it'll just fall through so you can't even do that?

This is bad information. Most professional pizzerias use high hydration with perforated peels. You want perforated peels to remove excess flour from the bottom of your pizza so it doesn't burn. If your dough is falling through these holes then it didn't build enough gluten or you're over topping it.

You really want to use this style in a 2 peel setup. I make pizzas and launch them from a wooden peel and use a perforated metal one to retrieve it.

amazon lists the size at 16.69" L x 13.19" W x 5.67" H (not really sure where the height dimension is coming from on either of these measurements,) and one of the review photos shows it's actually only 12" wide

When people launch with these peels, they don't build the pizza on the peel. They build it on a countertop, then, once the pizza's ready, slide the peel under and launch.

If you peels you're buying are anodized aluminum, they're not painted. Sanding off the oxide layer just reduces performance without improving safety.

Since anodized aluminum became popular, actual coated peels have become increasingly rare.

The coating was visibly coming off after each use, I dont care how safe it is it doesn't need to be in my food, so off it goes.

I build on a cheap bamboo peel with a bunch of semolina. Then I have a peel similar to this one (Hans Grill Pizza Peel Pro) that I use to turn & pull the pizza. Works much better for me than trying to launch off the perforated ones and I don't risk breaking through the dough when I'm trying to get it off the counter. I think semolina flour is the key to success. It was for me anyway.

Check specs on the best buy page. It clearly says it contains PFAS

Thanks, that actually clears it up. No PFAs.

The best buy page just contains a generic disclosure they put on all ninja stuff. But the disclaimer has a broken link for an old ab1200 disclosure. The current Ninja ab1200 disclosure clearly shows that the only candidate chemical contained in xskoppl is aluminum. PFAs are disclosed in other products on the list, just not the peel.
