First time seeing it on sale. Probably one of the best deals so far for a mainstream brand 5.1ch+

Greentoe had this for $220 last week. Mine is arriving tomorrow. Some people were expecting it to go lower but 220-230 is a good price for a decent 5.1.4 setup

Probably the best complete 5.1.4 at this price by far.

This is essentially the same as the Hisense AX5140Q, but this one (the AX700) seems to be exclusive (or at least was until recently) to Costco.

Here's Rtings' review of the AX5140Q where they mention (near the end of the video) that the AX700 is likely the same model (almost the same specs - I think max wattage is listed at 500w for the 5140Q and 400w for the AX700 - soundbar and speakers seem to be the same):

You might be able to get this cheaper (brand new) on Ebay. Costco has the 90-day return policy though.

I bought this before - October 2025. I returned it Dec 2025. It was HORRIBLE. The sound? Lackluster. It kept cutting out, too. Sub was underwhelming.

I had the thought of "OK, maybe I just need to update the drivers" as the instructions stated when you connect it to the internet it'll update automatically. That did not happen AND on their website they didn't at the time have the drivers for the AX700. Maybe now it's there? If so, when you buy this, make sure you install any updates.

Oh yea! When I reached out to Hisense I got...zero feedback. Why? Because at the time this model wasn't even on their website!!!! That's how RUSHED this felt. Looks to still be the case.

You need the serial number for support. As the AX700 wasn't on the website (and still isn't...) there wasn't any of their serial numbers. Yep, this is the same as a non-Costco model but nope, Hisense officially still requires you to have the official serial for assistance. See how silly this is? MAYBE they put the serials in there but I highly doubt it.

I type all of this to type you'd be a damn fool to read my post and still buy this

Possibly, I have the 5.1.2 atmos from hisense since 2024 and love it for my bedroom punches hard and clear and good quality, I think maybe user above got a bad model I would have replaced It and tried again. I have this one from slickdeals 2024:

Hisense AX Series 5.1.2 Ch 420W Soundbar with Wireless Subwoofer,
Wireless Rear Speakers, and
Dolby Atmos
(AX5120G, 2023
Model)
$129.00/ea

Got this deal as well and thought it sounded great for the money. Also have it connected to Hisense TV and earc plays very nice, unlike my LG/JBL soundbar where something is always out of sync and requires turning one or both on/off to get sound.

Yes I have it via earc in bedroom.. and I'm very picky about being in sync and never noticed any issues, I'm actually searching for another hisense but considering the r652 and waiting for a deal hopefully under $150 new for another bedroom.

1) Subwoofer 100 less watts 2) Does not support the app. Can only use remote to adjust settings. 3) Got it new from multiple places offering it at $160 on Offerup. It's very good for the price.

I'm a soundbar snob. Have tried all the higher end ones. Have a Q990D for living room (replacing Arc ultimate, era 300's and sub). I have this HiSense system for my bedroom. It is EXCELLENT for the price.

Someone on reddit said, emphatically, that you could use the app with it. You've tired it?

First of all, the deal is still live (not sure why it was marked as expired, maybe it went OOS temporarily. But it is still live)

Just received the set. I came from a dedicated receiver/amplifier 7.1 home theater set up, and had to "downgrade" to a soundbar system due to space constraints. Let me tell you, this does not feel like a downgrade. For context, I don't like overly loud sound, but I am picky about accurate and detailed sound. In that respect, this set really delivers. While bass isn't super loud, it is deep and accurate. And it really is loud enough to fill our open concept living room, for my taste at least.

Since I have a costco membership, there is value in me being able to return it in 30 mins no questions asked if needed. If you are unlucky enough to get a dud, Greentoe return may not be as easy.
