Here's Rtings' review of the AX5140Q where they mention (near the end of the video) that the AX700 is likely the same model (almost the same specs - I think max wattage is listed at 500w for the 5140Q and 400w for the AX700 - soundbar and speakers seem to be the same):

You might be able to get this cheaper (brand new) on Ebay. Costco has the 90-day return policy though.
I had the thought of "OK, maybe I just need to update the drivers" as the instructions stated when you connect it to the internet it'll update automatically. That did not happen AND on their website they didn't at the time have the drivers for the AX700. Maybe now it's there? If so, when you buy this, make sure you install any updates.
Oh yea! When I reached out to Hisense I got...zero feedback. Why? Because at the time this model wasn't even on their website!!!! That's how RUSHED this felt. Looks to still be the case.

You need the serial number for support. As the AX700 wasn't on the website (and still isn't...) there wasn't any of their serial numbers. Yep, this is the same as a non-Costco model but nope, Hisense officially still requires you to have the official serial for assistance. See how silly this is? MAYBE they put the serials in there but I highly doubt it.
I type all of this to type you'd be a damn fool to read my post and still buy this

Just received the set. I came from a dedicated receiver/amplifier 7.1 home theater set up, and had to "downgrade" to a soundbar system due to space constraints. Let me tell you, this does not feel like a downgrade. For context, I don't like overly loud sound, but I am picky about accurate and detailed sound. In that respect, this set really delivers. While bass isn't super loud, it is deep and accurate. And it really is loud enough to fill our open concept living room, for my taste at least.
