Given the rather lukewarm reception to this game relative to previous entries in the series I feel like this title has underperformed in terms of sales and I wouldn't be surprised if there was a fire sale on it at some point.

It was actually designed for switch 1, with some upgrades for S2. Pretty close if you see them side by side.

Pointless story, but I preordered a then unnamed Metroid game years ago right before the gamers club unlocked discount went away to lock in the 20% off. That sat dormant for years. By the time this actually launched, my card had expired so the preorder wouldn't go through. But Bestbuy actually phoned me to try to get me to update my card so that I can still receive it. They get an A for effort, but I ended up cancelling it before it shipped. Score one for me. It would have been $48 then.

This game isn't good at all. If it didn't have Metroid in the title you wouldn't see anyone try to pretend otherwise. One of the worst high profile games Nintendo has ever made tbh.

Heads up on that, the Switch 2 version is the Switch 1 version bundled with a redemption code for the upgrade pack. It's detailed on the label of the game. Buying this and the upgrade pack on the Nintendo website for $10 isn't that bad a discount for the equivalent Switch 2 packaged release.

I disagree and think the game is solid. I look at Google Users most for ratings of games/movies because I find it to be the most accurate based on what I have thought of games/movies and it is at 93%. It may not be as good as past Primes but it is still solid on its own. I actually got the S2 version when it came out from Costco and decided to pick up the S1 version with this deal. I have beaten the game and it does start off a bit slow (mainly because of new things) but once you hit the Ice Belt, the game is great!

Sick of Nintendo... Can we make a new old style zelda for me and old non minecraft people who have to work and other things? 8 dungeons and final boss?

I love metroid games... still have not finished the last one that was 2d. it was great. THe last few zelda games, I bought and have not beat. I have no plans to beat the wild series. No time. Zelda's game is good, I will eventually play it.

I might go a head and buy this one as I have $15 reward i can use. The game will just sit. I have been playing more xbox remotely these days .

you are a nutcase if you didn't like the last two zelda games. on par with OOT for me. also nintendo did make an old school top down view zelda for the switch. lots of fun and recommended. i too have a wife and kids, but when you get downtime, pop it in for a bit and have at it.

Agreed. I'm playing BOTW for the first time on a switch 2 and I think it's one of the most well rounded games I've ever played. I'm hoping this game goes a bit lower before I hop on
