Motorola's Razr Fold bundle stands out as a premium foldable package with the Moto Pen Ultra and one year of Moto Care, and the trade in price drops it into a more workable range. The phone is confirmed to use Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, not the 8 Elite Gen 5, and Motorola's page lists 7 OS updates and up to 7 years of security updates. Pricing help is still around, including a working 5 percent email code and a newly issued 10 percent coupon through customer service. The main concerns are the high base price, coupon availability changing quickly, and questions about foldable screen durability.
Common Questions (5)
The checkout coupon appears to have expired for some shoppers, but a 5% off email code still works. A live chat or phone call to Motorola customer service can also reportedly get a new 10% off coupon.
Current reports point to Motorola phones being candidates for GrapheneOS pre-installation starting in 2027, but existing 2026 models generally do not yet qualify for official support. Foldables like the razr fold or razr ultra lines are mentioned as possible candidates if they meet the hardware requirements.
The linked Motorola page says it includes 7 OS updates and up to 7 years of security updates starting from the global launch date. The exact support window may vary by market, network provider, and model.
It uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, not 8 Elite Gen 5. That matters for gaming and other performance-heavy use because the non-Elite chip is a different tier.
The listed $1800 price drops to about $1200 with trade-in in the deal shown. That makes it substantially cheaper than full price, though still a premium purchase.
