I own the 32GB RAM, 4070 model of this laptop, and as I've posted here before - there are probably two dozen laptops in my household at any one time, and that Swift X is one of my favorites. It has a fantastic metal build, excellent display, good I/O, good keyboard and trackpad...I do wish the audio were better, but there are many options in software for tinkering and it's possible to get sound that is MUCH better than the default, out-of-the-box experience.

If you can get by with 16GB RAM and the 4060, I'd highly recommend this as a fantastic combination of portability and power. It comes with a 100W charger, but I use a very tiny Anker Nano 100W to make the package even more portable. And don't discount the 14.5" display - it may not sound like much of an increase over 14", but it is quite noticeably nicer. As I've written elsewhere, I actually prefer this to my 14" laptops (including ASUS G14s).

Really good deal considering the combination of processor, screen, storage and graphics card - usually there is some compromise involved at this price.

Good price, but just to point it out, this is a 2 gen old processor at this point and a previous gen graphics card.

Agreed...and the compromise here is the RAM sadly

It has nice specs, but that 16GB is an issue when it can not be upgraded. I will wait for something that is more future ready.

This is not a bad laptop for the price right now. No numeric keypad, fingerprint reader, lighweight, 400+ nits in SDR. I don't think that 16GB of RAM soldered is as big a deal as people normally comment on. I get it, I prefer 32, but on this device? Nah, not an issue (low TGP and 8GB VRAM). I also like that the vents are on the back, not the sides.

The negatives as I see are a low TGP of 50W on the GPU and no VRR at all on the display, so you're going to see screen tearing since it's a fixed 120Hz display.

But not that bad overall. No such thing as a laptop without compromises.

Edit: I should point out that I'm looking at this as a gamer. If I'm a creator, this is a hella nice laptop.

The GDDR6 on the discrete GPU will help to augment the limited system RAM, though probably only ~0.5-1 GB
