I have this system in my garage. Works quite well. Certainly not inexpensive though.

Hooks alone are worth it since they are a little expensive. I have a few sets and I like them.

I'm in this system. It works great. The biggest downside is the fact they don't sell the smaller hooks individually. They force you to buy the kits with rails you may or may not need to get more hooks. That's the biggest drawback to this system.

I used STLFinder and Printables and have managed to print some pretty quality hooks. I haven't tried to hang a leaf blower up, but lighter duty tools and extension cords work well.

The 48" and 84" rails are also ~50% off

At 50% off though this sounds like a no-brainer? Almost worth it to just buy an extra one

When I bought mine it was a 7 piece kit for $15.00. I bought 3, and have used everything except 3 hooks and 1 rail to date. So yeah, buy more than you need. You can always return any extra packs if needed.

I'm having trouble imagining the load being handled by plastics.

Are there 3D for common homeowners that can print metal now?

seeing individual hooks on Amazon for $8 - $12 depending on load capacity

I mentioned things that I've used them for. I also use them for shovels, my splitting axe, Dewalt MAX hedge trimmer, etc... I wouldn't use them to hold my backpack blowers, but 80% of what I use this system for can be handled with printed hooks. I exclusively use PETG because it's what I have and am a novice printer, but I think there are stronger materials.

I've only seen larger specialty hooks on sale individually. Like the bike hook, and the power tool hooks. I've never seen the smaller basic hooks on sale individually.

For those that have a 3D printer, there are boat loads of printable attachments for the FastTrack. Here's a long hook example" https://www.printables.com/model/...ail-hook-l

I've actually had lot of luck printing individual hooks in PETG on my 3d printer. Not really for anything too heavy but lots of things I put up there aren't heavy.
