The Xbox Series X is still valued for strong backward compatibility, Play Anywhere support, and the convenience of cloud saves across Xbox and PC. It also pairs well with a decent PC through the Xbox app, and some prefer it over other consoles for more consumer friendly features. The main knocks are price and timing, with this $546 deal called expensive compared with past purchases and cheaper promos. There is also hesitation around waiting for Project Helix or Black Friday, and concern about the long term reliability of a used disc drive.
The Xbox ecosystem can support Play Anywhere and standard cloud saves, which helps with cross-device convenience.
Back-compat on Xbox can be a practical advantage for players who want older games to keep working.
A spare USB3 HDD or SSD can be used for legacy games, which can reduce storage pressure on a smaller internal drive.
Executable Xbox Series games can be moved between external storage and the console as needed, which can help manage limited space.
The deal price can feel overpriced compared with past purchases that included a game bundle or employee discounts.
Hard drive swapping can be difficult and not user-friendly, which can make upgrades or maintenance frustrating.
Stock availability can be a problem, since Xbox deals may not be in stock anywhere when buyers try to purchase.
A four-year-old disc drive may face longevity concerns due to possible dirt, dust, or pet hair buildup.

Series X is an older failed console that had almost all of its exclusives ported to the PS5 and might be out of support for new AAA games in two or three years if a completely different concept for an Xbox follows it.
Not saying it's not a good deal- especially if all you want is a decent machine that plays GTA 6- but a Switch 2 has more relative value because of a longer future lifespan. Hardware power isn't everything or we would all be playing Atari Jaguar 6s nowadays.
Switch 2 is better? Are you a Nintendo fanboy or what. In no world is the Switch 2 better in any manner than the Xbox X.
because it's automatic....... reality is the 2 top selling platforms are the ones with locked cloudsaves, because vast majority of people don't have a use for them until they have to change their box MANY YEARS LATER and you can swap saves so long as the 2 boxes are on the same network . They buy their box, play games, continue with their lives.
even GOG will give you actual DRM free games but STEAM is much more popular because it has features people do care about on PC, like the entire controller configuration and community profiles
both our issues are on the minority and people just have to make a choicer (i chose PC and used nintendo and PS5 for the few exclusives)
People aren't paying attention to cloud save because nothing has happened to their devices, yet. Same with data redundancy on PC. Not a problem until it's a problem.

I chose PC and Xbox because I can't tolerate no starndard cloud saves. Play Anywhere, the other pro consumer feature solidify it further as well as best back compat out of the 3 console platforms.

they just buy one and occasionally game what they like... it's not rocket science
