Community Reviews

The Xbox Series X is still valued for strong backward compatibility, Play Anywhere support, and the convenience of cloud saves across Xbox and PC. It also pairs well with a decent PC through the Xbox app, and some prefer it over other consoles for more consumer friendly features. The main knocks are price and timing, with this $546 deal called expensive compared with past purchases and cheaper promos. There is also hesitation around waiting for Project Helix or Black Friday, and concern about the long term reliability of a used disc drive.

If you are in CA, UT, ID or NV and close to a RCWilley - its $319 right now till the holiday.
only has 512 gb but you can put legacy games on a spare HDD or SSD via USB3 and wait for a expansion card to drop in price. You can move exacutable xbox series games back and forth from the external as needed.

I want this system and love everything about it including the 1st party lineup vs sony, but I can't get past the price. sub-450 and it's probably a buy.

Switch 2 is better? Are you a Nintendo fanboy or what. In no world is the Switch 2 better in any manner than the Xbox X.
Depends what's important to you. If you specifically want raw performance and graphics, then yea. But if you also want outstanding 1st party games in the style Nintendo makes them, then it is better than an Xbox. I have no idea why anyone would buy an Xbox today. Either a PS5 or Switch2 are better, depending what your after.

Yes, because consumers base their purchasing decision solely on specs. /s
I play on all platforms but going forward, any platform locking bacic fearures like cloud saves behind a paywall will not be getting my money. Sony and Nintendo are prime examples of this. I don't care about console sales or specifications. I care about pro consumer features and currently PC and Xbox are delivering them. Sure, I'll be missing some platform exclusives but honestly, it doesn't matter anymore. There are more game than available time these days, unlike olden days

I'm pointing out your logical fallacy, pal. Using sales to suggest the quality of a device is silly.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

I think moving forward just buying a gaming PC is best even if its slightly more pricey
