This thing scratches so easy. Well unsure if it actually scratches but the way you pull out the actual pot, it will scuff the sides and turn them black even after first use. Avoid

So you're talking about the outside finish getting scuffed at the bottom sides? Sounds like a good warning to handle with more care. Aesthetics are important to me, too.

The outside finish does get scuffed pretty easily but not really visible when sitting in the base. Interior is still perfect on mine and works great although ive mainly just used it for rice. I have the costco version of this (in case its different).

So, this is pretty much electric/induction stove with its own pot and presets.

Yep, no pressure cook mode. don't know who had the idea to launch such product. Just another fancy design and name for a rice cooker.

Yeah lol. No pressure, no air fry. Then on top of that it's non stick, so it's only going to last as long as the coating on the pot and then the whole thing is trash bc no way this weird shaped pot inside is going to be cheap to replace.

If you do want one, the larger 8.5 version at Costco was actually on clearance for $50 just yesterday at my store. I'd check there. Even at that price, I couldn't even talk myself into getting it at that price.

I have their pressure/air fry combo and we use it a lot (mostly for pressure/air fry though). My only qualm is the ceramic no stick coating is chipping. But I'll eventually just get a stainless pot for it.

One of the big benefits of a real slow cooker is even heating from the sides. This appears to just heat from the bottom. I wonder if this causes sticking?

Which model of real "slow-cooker" are you talking about that heats from the sides?

Slow cookers (AKA Crock Pots) heat from the bottom. The crock pot part (the thicker style creamic container ones) can more evenly distribute heat to the sides than the thinner metallic-pot models.

The Instant Pot models (if that is what you meant) are not what I would consider a real slow cooker, as they are more of a pressure cooker. Please elaborate what you are talking about specifically.
