Nice looking but highly inaccurate when I compared it side-by-side with Fitbit Inspire 3. Do like the look and simplicity of the design though. To be fair, Inspire 3 is a tracker and this is a smartwatch.

The brand has is literally called 'Nothing' and has been around for several years. Definitely a legit brand and not just some name created for Amazon. They primarily make phones and wireless earbuds.

As far as the actual product, I have no idea if it is any good.

Do you have any info on the data "they" sell to insurance companies, which insurance companies, and how they use it "to bone you on fees and determine which procedures they will decline"?
If so, I'd love to read about it - not what they *could do, but what they *are doing, as you claim. And who "they" are.
Thanks

I think that was only for the light green one.
Correct. And the other poster is incorrect, it was the Pro 3.
Source: I bought one. I'm very happy with it so far, especially the battery life: it gets by with one charge per week, though I keep the automatic O2 sat check off. It may not be the most accurate, but it's good enough for what I need and the build quality is impressive, especially for the price.

not an exact response, but my duckduckgo app tracking protection has blocked 42,974 hidden tracking attempts across 34 apps over the past 7 days.Data is constantly being collected on you at every opportunity, and I find it exceedingly difficult to believe that all that data is being used for the benefit of consumersNYT, Updated March 13, 2024 Updated March 13, 2024Automakers Are Sharing Consumers' Driving Behavior With Insurance CompaniesLexisNexis, which generates consumer risk profiles for the insurers, knew about every trip G.M. drivers had taken in their cars, including when they sped, braked too hard or accelerated rapidly.
I fail to see how tracking stats on your computer relates to a watch that isn't even connected to the internet?

No, the CMF by Nothing Watch 3 Pro does not have the ability to program custom, highly-structured workout routines across different exercise types like the Amazfit Bip 6 does.
Amazfit Bip 6 (Via the Zepp App)

The Amazfit Bip 6 relies on the robust Training Template builder inside the Zepp app. This feature allows you to build highly personalized, step-by-step routines, particularly for strength training or complex circuits:
  • You can select from a massive database of specific exercises (including specialized movements like resistance band or isolation work).
  • You can manually define target reps, weights, and explicit set structures.
  • You can configure detailed rest intervals (e.g., locking a specific rest time or programming the watch to wait until your heart rate drops to a specific target, like 120 BPM, before signaling the next set).
  • These templates support massive complexity (up to 40 sets or intervals) and sync directly to the watch to actively prompt you through your routine.
CMF by Nothing Watch 3 Pro (Via the Nothing X App)

The CMF Watch 3 Pro is much more basic and locked-down when it comes to workout customization. It lacks a general step-by-step routine or circuit builder. Its "custom" capabilities are limited to a couple of distinct features:
  • Custom Running Coach: This is a structured wizard specifically for running (3K, 5K, or 10K targets). It auto-generates an 8-to-16-week calendar of structured running sessions (intervals, tempo runs, steady-state) based on a fitness assessment, but you cannot manually program your own custom non-running exercises or circuits into it.
  • Workout Menu Customization: The custom layout features are limited to editing your "Regular Exercises" quick-list (reordering or adding/removing from the watch's 131 tracking modes) or adjusting which metrics display on the screen while an active workout is tracking.
If your daily routine relies heavily on complex, self-guided strength or interval templates where you need the watch to actively pace you through specific sets and rest cues, the CMF Watch 3 Pro will fall short compared to the Amazfit Bip 6.

I'm pretty sure they aren't doing this on an individual bases and more a demographic statically analysis. It wouldn't be cost efficient to monitor people individually.

The original post sounds like a conspiracy theory nut TBH

and then dont you hate it when they lump you in with the demographic group eventhough you make concious choice everyday to beat the average, ie. car/health insurance.

If i'm in insurance, ofc i would want as much data as i could.

Anyone compared these to Amazfit Active 2?

Seems like that may be better option but I haven't worn a watch for a decade.

My phones accelerometer stopped working so need something to track steps

I literally gave you the headline from a NYT article that specifically described data being collected on, brokered on, and used on, an individual by individual basis

But it had nothing to do with health insurance and denial of claims based on the "health" your watch tracks. But thanks for playing.

I've been pretty happy with mine so far (the gray one). The battery life is way better than the Garmin Vivoactive 3 I had, though I sometimes miss it.

I have a T-Rex 2 for about 3 years now and it was well worth the money. I got it new but buying used shouldn't be an issue. A user of this watch cannot really do much damage so if you buy a Used-Excellent or Used-very good it should be fine.
Get a Samsung Galaxy 5 Pro LTE. you can get them like new for under $100. I have one and it is awesome with sapphire glass large battery amoled display and lots lots more! I got mine on Walmart Plus

Then you should get a Galaxy Samsung smartwatch. If you get a real smart watch you can use facer... Google that if you don't know what I'm talking about
