I bought this same set last year and the trimmer is a beast, the forge battery is awesome as well but i have tons of m18 tools so it was a no brainer for me, the edger is just ok and i still prefer my dedicated plug in edger that does trenching as well, i just hate having to get out a cord so i usually just use this one lol, im sure the ego is nice but i cant comment on it, if you have other m18 tools id say you cant go wrong with this

Stick to Ego for your lawn/yard tools... I have alot of m18 tools and the QUIK-LOK system just for the pole saw... which turned into the broom, the hedge trimmer, the blower.......

Milwaukee M18 is a much more diverse lineup of battery tools (the most diverse in existence, I believe), that makes it a pretty easy choice IMO.

Ego's mostly just yard equipment
