Yo dawg, I heard you like backpacks. So we put a backpack on your backpack, so your backpack can backpack while you backpack with your backpack

surprisingly decent feature set with hip belt pockets and pole loops and full zip access. If I didn't already have like 10 backpacks this would be with a solid starter or loaner bag to drag someone out on the trails. Only issue I see is the daypack being way out past your center of gravity I'd only keep light stuff in it if using it at all. Last few times I checked out Walmart bags I was pleasantly surprised by the material quality as well, so haven't seen this is person but it's likely solid.

Thanks, OP. Bought one. I was tempted to buy the $90 Osprey that was posted a few days ago, but this is a much better deal for my use. I'll never go on a hike with this, but I like to have a large bag when exploring a new city. I like having everything I'll need for the day plus space for putting crap I buy and having the hip and sternum straps is great.

Yeah seems like a decent starter pack to see what you like or don't like

I have found that Ozark Trail hiking packs, and other products, tend to be decent quality, especially for the price!

This looks interesting. I'd only put very lightweight items in the daypack when it's attached as it's so far out from the body. Lightweight down puffy as an example.

In for one, thank you. Ozark Trail stuff is definitely a brand in my experience where you get what you paid for. In a good way. I have a cast iron skillet set, hiking shoes, trekking poles and a few other things like the viral pocket knife. The best buy it for life stuff? Nope. One use and it's trash? Also no.
