This Team Group 256GB microSDXC stands out for cheap high capacity, but the comments focus more on its limits and the listing risk than on the card itself. It is a U3 A1 card, so it should handle 4K 30fps and similar workloads, but it is not the faster A2 class and may be a poor fit for dashcams that need stronger sustained write performance. The Walmart listing also draws suspicion because it has no reviews, comes from a third party seller in China, and looks unusually cheap. A cautious pick if capacity matters more than speed or seller confidence.

  • The card's V30/U3 minimum write speed can support 4K 30fps recording workloads.

  • The stated bitrate math suggests 4K 60fps may fit within the card's usable throughput.

  • The A-rating mainly targets app/IOPS performance, so dashcam use may focus more on endurance than A-rating.

  • The Walmart listing shows major trust risks, including a third-party seller from China with zero reviews.

  • The deal price appears suspicious because the same product is listed for far more on Amazon.

  • The U3 A1 rating can be unsuitable for many dashcams because its write speed is much lower than U3 A2 cards.

  • Team Group microSD cards have reportedly faced premature failure concerns, which may explain the lower pricing.

Good deal for capacity only, as long as you don't need "normal" 130-150MB/sec read/write speed that (what I consider to be standard) U3 A2 rated cards can do. This U3 A1 card will not work for most dashcams due to it having roughly 1/3 the write speed of U3 A2 cards. The good old Samsung U3 A2 cards on Amazon (blue or green) work for every dashcam I've tried them in but they are still ridiculous price from all ths AI memory shortage BS.

V30/U3 card has min write speed of 30MB/s, which is OK for 4K 30fps. A rating is mostly for applications (measure of IOPs).
For dashcam the biggest concern is endurance.

No reviews on Walmart, sold by a 3rd party so it could be counterfeit, same product on Amazon is over $100. Sounds too good to be true

Should work. 4k 60fps have typical bitrate of 150Mbps, translating to about 18.75 MB/s.

Price seems too good to be true. If I am going to purchase the memory card I would not trust a 3rd party vendor on Walmart

I've never seen PNY call themselves (or their product) "Paris New York."

PNY, might mean Paris New York...no idea, however even if so, that never appears to be used in their branding.
