Good for late 2000s Hemis, if the seals are holding. Newer stuff, API SQ and don't look back.

Just curious. Oil price is very high, but there has been so many oil deals lately. Wonder what's the reason.

Is it because it takes a few months for the supply chain to catch up to prices? Wondering if I should do oil change this month or if I can wait till next month.

Lubricants won't always track crude prices. I would speculate that with current high gasoline prices and inflation, two things are happening. 1) People are diving less, and thus are having less oil changes. 2) Some people might be delaying maintenance / oil changes in this inflationary period in favor of basics like buying food, paying rent, etc.

Stock up at this price, better than getting caught off guard with higher prices later. Just don't go buying like it's toilet paper. 😂

Just buy the oil when it's the cheapest and then change it when it's due.

But don't buy a blend. That's just a markeing gimmick.

If you do you own oil change, there is no reason not to stock up to one year of supplies now. The news of shortage of certain type and price increase on others are popping up all over in car YouTube channels.

This is a synthetic blend not full synthetic so just be sure you can use that.

I always buy conventional or blends for my truck. She leaks like a sieve with full synthetic. Obviously, I realize that there's a problem, but I'm not dumping much into a truck with 224k on the clock and a body that's getting eaten alive by road salt effects.

There's news of a possible motor oil shortage in the coming weeks. Yea probably good idea to stock up for the next 1-2 years.

Got the costco deal and mobil 1 deals already.

Dealership has a $50 oil change special so might go to the dealer one more time for my newer car.

Interesting, could very well be. Any news links about it you can post? EDIT: Nevermind, I googled a couple articles. Strange times. Glad I'm always sitting on at least 2 years of stock on the shelf.
