I was at my local Home Depot and noticed the RYOBI
40V 300-Watt Portable Battery Inverter model RYi300BM on sale for $50. This price is pretty good for these units especially if you are already invested the Ryobi 40v tool system. The picture shows $129 for regular price but is regular $99 online.

These first gen inverters don't allow the 40v batteries to be charged with this version. The recently released upgraded version that allows solar charging (usb c) or wall charger via usb c Same maximum 300w output via AC, usb c, and regular usb. Cannot charge and output at the same time, but still a great upgrade that might be worth it for the charging.
I used the first gen inverter without issues for over the year. Invested alittle more into solar recently, and the new ones have been great charging multiple batteries for my 40v set without any noticeable impact on battery performance.

Have you tried the solar charging yet by chance? I'm curious but suspicious that it can generate enough from small solar panels to do much in the way of recharging in a reasonable amount of time. But that's based on zero knowledge of solar lol and really in the end, having it on there is still useful for complete access lasting outages. Just feels kind of gimmicky so I'm curious if I'm just completely wrong.

Full price $99 & $220 for a 6 Ah 40V battery you're talking $319. For a little more you can get a 2500W inverter gas generator that is easy to store and cheap to run and can run a lot longer.

No worries about lithium battery fires too.

Perhaps you didn't notice the part of the OP that said:

Many of us have a large number of these batteries, so there is no additional cost of $220 (and anyone remotely familiar with Ryobi would never pay that amount for a battery).

Additionally, it's funny that you're recommending a combustion engine to avoid the risk of fire.

All I'm getting is the out of stock product page. Was hoping to see if they'd have a "your store" clearance price.

We still have it in stock in our store. However, this one does not work with the sump pump. I was really hoping that it would have worked with it. What a bummer?

Got this several months ago at a similar price. Works great but needs airflow to work or it will burnout. There is a fan that runs intermittently and the fan gets blocked if there isn't clearance. Recommend on a counter or bare floor and not carpet or earth if you use this.

My larger 200w solar panels are 30voc, which may exceed the limit, and the autoprotection prevents charging. My 30w with built in controller, usb c / usb / 5521 plug doesnt seem to have enough power for the 40v, but slowly charges my 18v inverter/charger. I heard it works well with a ryobi panel (which i believe are rated up to 60w?) works well for all of their charge capable inverters. I don't think it's worth investing solely on the solar capabilities, but using an set up with 200w x 2 solar > mppt > 12v100ah lipo4> inverter > usb 100w gan pd charges it well. Its great to charge while driving and connected to a usb c pd. Great for charging those 40v batteries on the go. I can try to test with a lower voltage with a usb c adapter and give an update.
