This Mini 5 Pro deal centers on a brand new, sealed drone at a sharp AliExpress price, with several reports of units arriving legit and unopened around the low 600s. The appeal is the drone itself and the chance to get it locally shipped or with free returns within 90 days. The main cautions are AliExpress aftersales support, which can be slow or costly, and the bundle is basic with only one battery and a simple controller. US buyers also need to watch registration and import issues, since many units weigh over 249 grams and may not be treated as a true sub 250 gram mini.
The drone has reportedly arrived brand new and unopened from AliExpress around $600 before taxes.
FAA registration for drones over 249g is described as a $5 fee for three years with a short labeling step.
A reported DOA battery issue on an AliExpress order was handled with a refund and a priority replacement shipment.
FAA recreational flying rules can be satisfied without a license for drones under 55 pounds in the US.
AliExpress purchases can become unusable when returns are not handled, which can leave buyers stuck with the product.
The Mini 5 Pro may weigh 250g or more, which can require FAA registration and TRUST before legal recreational flying.
AliExpress after-sales support and returns for an expensive drone may be limited unless the unit is defective.
AliExpress resolution can take a long time when any issue happens, turning support into a prolonged process.

I second that I was stuck with a rack, which was costing $52 to purchase. It delivered a broken box, so parts were missing.
Contacted them for a return. Ship it back will refund it to you guys.
But I have to pay for the shipment, which was $128.00
Now, when I ask for a prepaid return label, they ask me to pay, and they will issue me the Store credit for it.
Now, if that 15K purchase guy is legit baboon, then I can share details too.
Keep a destance with them. These are paid promotions, and SD is promoting for money. Aliexpress doesn't care about any sders or customers.
I noticed this ships from a US warehouse so presumably there's no tariffs involved. My question is, if that would change where we return it to if we have a return, can we just ship it back to their warehouse?

Depends on the seller - SD has little to do with it. I don't 'trust' a seller just because it's on this site. Check out the reviews of the seller (you really want ultra-high ratings), evaluate the risks and tradeoffs, and make a decision. For every purchase, especially if it's more than $5.
