I bought the N2 Pro as well as the N4 Pro: both are going strong since 2018 and 2020. At one point my N4 did have an issue and needed a warranty exchange, but I remember leaving it out in the heat and direct sunlight during hot summers while I did not do the same with my N2. I'm sure this had an effect and I should have removed it and placed it somewhere away from direct sun. A car ride in sunlight is fine but 8 hours during work in the sun will likely recreate the same issue.
That said I have had almost no issues with these and Vantrue has been pretty good. I don't mean to make this sound as gospel but Vantrue ain't a problem for me. Someone's bound to get a pesudo-dud and it'a unfortunate you landed on one, but I'd still rep for them just based on my experience.

do you also unscrew your external house cameras and put them inside when they are not in use? do you also turn off your phone every time you don't use and turn it back on once you take it out of your pocket?
THE ENTIRE POINT IS FOR IT TO STAY IN PLACE IN THE CAR
To answer your questions, I also kiss my RTX 5090 goodnight every night, pay 1/30th of my last billing statement every day until entirely paid off and spend 30 minutes tapping the fuel dispenser whenever I gas up; not a second more or less.
