- The $5-10 butter dishes from the link you posted are almost all of the domed-lid sort, where nothing is really keeping the lid in place except the force of gravity. As I stated in my first post, I already have such a design, but it is proving a risk to a pet that has learned how to overturn the lid. That could both lead to the shattering of the butter dish--and the exposure of the butter.
- Few of the other options include a grommet in the lid, which would create a seal both preventing it from being easily removed and keep the butter fresh for a longer period of time.
And for the record...I still haven't even purchased the item yet, before the aforementioned coupon code doesn't seem to work, and evidently the SD staff can't be arsed to look into it. So who knows!
