Save your money!! Samsung and LG make the worst washer dryers fridges etc ... great tvs thou 👌
I'm still using a pair of LG front load washer/dryer that I had purchased from Sears way back in 2007 and still working like a champ. Never a problem. Looking at this deal only because those are almost 20-years old and I want to preemptively replace them before they eventually die.
I also currently have a Samsung counter depth refrigerator that I had purchased back in 2019 that's still running great. The only piece of appliance I somewhat dislike is my Samsung dishwasher that doesn't seem to dry all the way.

What do you mean by "The only fail is hard water and poor upkeep" - if I have hard water, the machine is going to fail on me?
it's more of the upkeep. too much sediment because nobody really drains the water heater. It made parts of the washing machine yellow and look nasty. Even stained whites at one point.

Life lesson, flush water tank heaters regularly!

What if someone has a tankless water heater but hard water - does that affect the washer?

I purchased this set previously and experienced a leaking issue after only 4 months. Costco referred me to LG since the unit was still under warranty.
LG asked whether I had cleaned the tub every 3 months. I explained that, within those 4 months, I had only run one empty cleaning cycle. They then asked what type of cleaner I used, and I told them I had not used any cleaning solution.
The LG representative informed me that, for the warranty to remain valid, the tub must be cleaned using a specific liquid cleaner outlined in the manual. Since I did not use the specified cleaner, they stated that the warranty was no longer valid. As a result, I had to pay $740 for the repair.

If buying as singles, Black is $50 cheaper. As a bundle, they're the same price.

I would never return to top load. All of them leave residue on your clothes and don't clean stains well. I've never had an issue with mold or odors on a front load for 20+ years with them, but I know how to read instructions and understand why the door has a stop position for air and how to run a clean cycle regularly.
Agreed.. never return to a top loader
