Sofirn is running a 40% off deal on their SK30 tactical flashlight over on Amazon. The promo drops the price from $54.99 down to $32.99 and it comes with a holster right out of the box, which is great if you want to attach it to a belt. I don't have this specific model, but I do have a handful of their other flashlights (SC33, Q8 Plus, SC13, and H05B) and have been very happy with them. One SC33 I bought as a gift for someone was DOA but their customer service replaced it without issue. The link should automatically apply the code but if it doesn't just enter RJTM99M2 at checkout.

I lost my SK40 which was probably my favourite tactical light.. Is this like the same setup pretty much jus scaled down for 18650 cells?

Actually it runs on a 21700, not 18650. Spec sheet has it at 3000 lumens on turbo, so the raw output is basically in the same ballpark as the SK40. Physically it looks like the major differences are that the the SK30 doesn't have a side switch, just a dual tail switch so the UI will likely work differently, and since the head is smaller and straight-tube (no flared bezel/larger reflector like the SK40 had), the beam probably has more flood and less throw. Also looks smaller so more pocketable.

Good price for a nice 21700 light. I'll see how that dual tail switch works out.

I have them both. SK40 wins on output, but the SK30 is a joy to use because of the dual tail switches. It's also lighter and an easier carry.

It's 21700, and has same LED as SK40. Biggest difference is this uses dual tail switches, which is much more user friendly than SK40's tail + side switch combo.
