Don't waste your money, This is the biggest piece of garbage that Milwaukee makes, This pump is Such a disappointment, I couldn't even pump water from my stream up a 4' bank
Could you elaborate on your experience with this?

I tried to pump rain water out of my boat after my kid forgot to put the cover back on and I just had to try it out. Upsetting from millwaukee my personal opinion. I'm glad I didn't have to use it for my original purpose? Every now and then something you think is going to be handy is Junk. I like millwaukee I just think they wanted another cordless tool that just didn't have proper quality control before they sold it.

I've had good results pumping out boats and such, and while it wasn't me I watched a plumber pump out an entire sewer pump vault with one to fix the wiring on the pump. I've only ever used mine with water, sometimes fresh sometimes brackish

If it couldn't pump out your boat, I think something was wrong with your setup, like bad battery, bad hoses, or you just got a dud.

It's worked well for me and comes in handy. I've pumped water from 100 gal collection tanks (4 1/2' lift, 100' of hose), drained water from a washer with a broken pump, and drained a water feature. It didn't work on my water heater but that was because it was completely clogged and past its useful life.
