Let me explain in case anyone has false hope:
FYI, I am currently on 1gb plan at $50/month (= $50 discount due to 1-yr promotion offer +$10 autopay). This price end in October so I am on the market for a better deal. The downside is that I also use Xfinity Mobile new iPhone payment, so can't easily leave Xfinity.
1. As an existing customer, my first screenshot shows what "new deals" I have: $100/1gb or $115 for 2gb. Both require autopay. Compared to what I have, essentially I only secure $10 autopay. Oh, wait, autopay is a prerequisite.
2. OK, some suggest check address offer as a "new customer". I did that. See my 2nd screenshot. Oh, it only cost $50/1gb for my home address! Hooray, I win! Right? No, you don't.
As 10 years customers with them, I tried different ways to "convince", "find loopholes" to get the new account benefit, it is hard or those who managed to do that won't disclose to the public (otherwise that path would be closed soon like manufactured spending). Please don't assume existing customers, might/maybe/there is chance/I know/I heard, could get new customer benefits. Unless you would like to disclose a convincing way. Don't waste everyone's time. It is as if to say you are convincing Chase to give you sign up bonus every year for continuously holding their cards. Do you believe that? These company treat your loyalty as BS. The only way to get that is to leave them and come back later.
When I check in the private mode, after I enter my home address, Xfinitly list 4 options for me (see the top of the 2nd screenshot). They are well aware that people might do this so your chance to get new account benefit as existing customers are pretty low.
With that said, if people still have hope, maybe have P2 create a new account as a new "Mover" and we transfer our Xfinity mobile lines there? Will the monthly iPhone purchase credit be transferred as well? That's a interesting thought. Be my guest to give a try and update us your story later.

For anyone who has it, how is their Wifi gateway? Do they also provide mesh network or pods/extenders as part of the equipment?
I have always used my own modem and router, but my current equipment will not support that fast of speeds.

You can just turn off the wifi on the gateway and set it to bridge mode and use your own router also.
Their gateway is good and is very powerful usually more than enough for a 1500-2000sqft house depending on external factors. Yes you can pay additional fee and get some extenders for their service. You can still use your own router and modem but if you use your own modem you LOSE unlimited data and will be capped per their terms and have to pay if you cross over 1.2TB I believe it was.

To get unlimited data you need to use their modem, if you dont mind having a 1.2TB data cap before they charge you for more data per month, you can continue to use your own modem. As for the router you can always use that with the gateway.
I would and I did, switching from fiber ATT to this because why pay $75 for 300mbps if you can get 1gig for $51 after taxes and fees. Yes they will provide a all in one gateway. Look above for more information.
Thats why you either setup a new account under your wifes name or childrens name dont matter, or you do what I do. Cancel the service with immediate shut off, return any devices you might have for them wait 24-72 hours for their system to update to show you are no longer using their service and than just sign right back up as a new customer.
Thats why you cancel service and wait a few days and reopen as a new customer again, or setup service under someone else in the household, thats how its done.
