According to Amazon reviews, you can dock both battery types simultaneously and it will automatically switch to the other battery once the first is charged.

You absolutely can. Do you even know what product you're talking about?

Do you need to worry about charger counterfeits? Like you do with batteries?

Yes. There are bunches of lookalike knockoffs being sold on Amazon and eBay. However, VIP Outlet is a Milwaukee Authorized Seller, which goes a long way towards guaranteeing authenticity. And free returns if you aren't 100% satisfied, so zero risk.

Sure you can. First one in starts charging, when done switches to second battery in.

When I just did a search if VIP outlet on eBay is an authorized reseller of Milwaukee, the answer was no. Why wouldn't an open box product have the manufacturers warranty? This company provides their items with 90 day warranties backed by them, not the manufacturer.

What's the difference between this one and the ones label rapid charger? Is it just faster on the rapid?

VIP Outlet has a Milwaukee Authorized Seller verified checkmark and logo on their Milwaukee tool listings, and literally has hundreds of Milwaukee tools listed on eBay. Example:

I can't comment on factory warranty availability with these tools beyond the 90 days that VIP offers. That being said, when you're buying at deeply discounted prices you may not get the luxury treatment of a full factory warranty. But, you will get a Genuine Milwaukee product that's guaranteed to work out of the box and is warranted for a minimum of 90 days, which is plenty of time to discover any inherent issues. If you don't like the terms of this deal, you're always welcome to go pay double somewhere else for the same thing with a warranty you'll likely never need.

Rapid charger charges very quickly for ~80% then tapers off for the last ~20% or so. It's probably not great for long term battery longevity.

Thanks! Maybe I'll keep that one in my car and use the normal one in my home.
