Linux tends to work well on Thinkpads, and any distro should run pretty well on this.

I have an old Dell (2018) G3 that has an I7-8750u! 32gb ram, two SSD. Would this be an improvement?

My problem with thinkpads is it's not clear what model has what specs or features. At least with HP Elitebooks you know from the number it's most likely a smaller screen or bigger screen or x360 it's a two in one with a bright screen. The thinkpads use very confusing model numbers that change often. Am I the only one noticing this
