Why would you upgrade from a C2 to a C5? My 42" C2 is still very gorgeous. I honestly love how versatile the C series is in the 42". It's a 2:1 that can do it all. Monitor with all the benefits and features of a high end TV
I've heard of some complaints about a banding issue with text on the C5's dependending on distance. Still rocking my C2 also as a monitor. Great price on the C5 though if you can get it.

There's is software that solves this problem. No need for splitter. I use it on my old 48 LG A2. Only thing is that the tv has to be on wifi network so computer can send a wake up call to the tv. I think it's called LG companion https://github.com/JPersson77/LGTVCompanion

So two 27" side by side are more like an ultrwide which dimenension wise would be about 48" wide and 14" or so tall. This 42" TV would be 36" wide and 20" tall so short answer taller but shorter width.

Yeah i think It's dead. You can get it for $749 total (tax and shipping included in price) from Greentoe. I ended up getting an open box with limited hours on it for $637 total on eBay
