Yeah the 42" is perfect for a monitor. I have the 42" C2 and its great. I had some issues with HDMI CEC sleep wake up issues where my computer would lock up because it was coming out of screen time out or sleep. I got around with a cheap 1:2 HDMI splitter. Occassionaly I'd have to use WIN + CTRL + SHIFT + B to reset my graphics driver. I think this problem is limited to C2s and earlier with Nvidia cards. Don't think it exists with C5s but thought I mention it in case you have the issue. But yeah man, you're in for a treat. an LG C2 is beautiful with games. Crisp colors, true black. It is glossy but it hasn't been an issue since my monitors never face my windows. C5 is even more stunning than my C2

Currently use the C2 42" as my bedroom TV/ 3rd PC screen / for my work comp/ main screen for my Mac & game via my xbox series x. Would recommend!

If it were on Amazon, I'd be tempted to upgrade since I have a lot of cash back
Why would you upgrade from a C2 to a C5? My 42" C2 is still very gorgeous. I honestly love how versatile the C series is in the 42". It's a 2:1 that can do it all. Monitor with all the benefits and features of a high end TV

I don't have a OLED tv yet. And this one is sadly OOS for me so I didn't even buy it (week was sporadic at work and I came to order only now just to see OOS)

I'm sorry you missed out. Add a notification for it for when it comes back in stock. I did it for my 83" C5 order and it worked out for me so far. Waiting for delivery date of June 10

You gotta see this thing man. You won't wanna go back to any other type of monitor besides glossy OLED. I can't. I'd reorient my room if I had to, to avoid getting some OLED monitor with matte AG coating. Hope you can get it. The displays are beautiful and very versatile

Thanks for advise! Added the notification. Hope they return. I don't want an OLEF monitor that's using a worse panel and is more expensive just because it has a dp port hehe

yeah. Just keep an eye out on your email. It's good they make you add your zip code with the email so you know the availability is for your area. I did get some false positive email where it told me "it was in stock" but checking showed it wasn't. So I re-added my email and zipcode for each false positive until it gave me a true positive of availability.

And yeah I love DP as any nerd would but Honestly HDMI 2.1 is good enough at 4k144hz. I do wish LG thinks about adding 1 DP port to their OLEDs though. It will be hard for me to move to a non glossy display ever again. The colors, pic, and contrast don't pop with AG coating. And a 42" 4K gives you good screen real-estate. and allows you to add a secondary monitor in portrait if you wish if your desk is limited on space

I know curved ultra-wides are all the rage these days but they are AG coated. If someone were to make a glossy one, I might buy one if it is 5K2K. I don't want to lose my 2160p vertical resolution. Too useful for productivity

It returned in stock for a minute and I managed to get it! I think it is unparalleled value for the price. I will get a wall mount from Best Buy and it will be a perfect setup. I personally don't like curved because it limits you to have only one monitor or get 3 with two on sides but it makes the nightmare to find a good stand / arm for that. It's sad that the DP isn't a norm for TVs. A lot of people (like me) use TV with docks or PCs and it's a shame we can't have one.

Been eyeing a c5 as pc monitor and looks like I missed out on this deal but portends well for future deals. I did just get a 77" Samsung S90F for $1275 deal this morning to play so I'm contented but good point below on setting up a notification/alert for in-stock. Finally tapping into some fringe benefits from work with these EPP and Partners programs.

I have the 42 inches Sony OLED... comparable to LG C2...it has been great as a monitor...I.made my own desk with a wooden counter top 60×30 and no complaints...no need to upgrade...I will buy another 42 inches when mine dies..

Did you ever do a side by side comparison between the S90F and the C5?

Awesome deal, esp if you have the space in mind to use as a large PC/Mac display.

Trying to get the same deal. That's a great deal. Most of those codes aren't working anymore. 77 at 1275 for a C5 or S90 is so good.
