Amazon reviews suggest that the connectors are NOT BRASS.
Pay a bit more for brass fittings.
Here's the Amazon listing for $29.99:

Doing a search online suggests that stainless steel would be better than brass but brass is often chosen for being less expensive. I don't have any prior knowledge on this, but curious if there are other reasons brass should be preferred?

Seems like a decent deal. Just be aware that only the fittings are 3/4" - it appears the hose itself is only 1/2". That's smaller even than the typical vinyl retail hoses, which are usually 5/8", so it will have a weaker flow than you might be used to.

If you're just watering plants in a small yard, might not notice much difference. If you're washing a car, you probably will feel like it's taking longer than usual. If you're attaching this to another hose to run it 150' feet to a sprinkler at the end of a big yard, it will absolutely drive you bananas, you'll think the sprinkler is broken.

Also, based on Amazon reviews, it does not appear this particular steel hose is crush-resistant, it may permanently deform with sufficient exterior pressure/impact, something to keep in mind.

I think only the exterior sleeve of the hose itself is SS. Typically, the fittings on budget hoses are made of aluminum, and my guess is, these are aluminum (could be wrong, but could not find anything indicating they're brass or even steel, which is normally something a seller highlights if it's the case).

If the fittings are aluminum, there's a very real risk of a nasty chemical reaction called "galvanic corrosion" if the hose is attached to a brass/copper/steel spigot, which accounts for most exterior water spigots. As somebody else pointed out, application of one of any number of plumber's grease type products can greatly reduce that risk (really just postpones it rather than prevents), but most folks just don't know/bother and end up in fairly short order with a hose literally fused to a spigot, which is a mess to repair.

Having experienced exactly that (a fitting fusing to the spigot) I now connect all with the plastic disconnects . Didn't realize manufacturers were using aluminum fittings.
