I use it this instead of electrical tape, especially in places where I know I might need to replace it in the future or where I need the extra thickness.
I actually have a roll of this that will not be used for its intended purpose, as well as two packs of hockey tape, but whenever I think about wrapping handles with tape, my brain just automatically goes straight to wads of sticky oozing electrical/duct tape slowly slipping and sliding away from their original position. Like the one on my steering wheel.
