Don't go for 512gb. MacBook Pro means, most probably you are going to use Lightroom, photoshop or some offline LLM etc. 512 gb space will evaporate in no time. Also, 16gb ram is not enough.

I'm guessing the people chasing this deal were not looking to buy a 24GB+ 1TB+ MacBook Pro at double the price.

I have a 512GB / 16GB Mac Mini that runs as my 24/7 server. I have 17 dockers running inside, Plex, audiobook, Torrent. everything and it also runs as my primary computer too.
