My favorite part is the shorter, wider aspect ratio which makes watching videos and using the inner screen in general much more useful in my opinion. Samsung and Apple are using a wider aspect ratio in their upcoming foldables and I hope that continues. The wider ones are much superior to the taller ones imo.
One note, end of life for updates is June 1 2028, so you're getting 2 years out of this at most.
Don't buy this thinking you can install grapheneOS to bypass the 2year end of life. AT&T phones have the bootloader locked. (I could be wrong about the bootloader being locked).
The phone was released in June 2023.
Community Reviews
Google Pixel Fold is a compact foldable that stands out for its wider inner screen and travel-friendly form factor, making video watching and everyday use feel more natural than taller foldables. Performance sounds fine for non gaming use, and the device can be a good low commitment entry into foldables. The main drawbacks are durability worries around the hinge and softer screen, plus heavy weight, weak battery life, slow charging, and a camera that could be better. Support ends June 1, 2028, and carrier lock and warranty concerns add extra caution.
