I have the more expensive whisper one with the dock. My wife said it's too heavy with the 4ah battery. Dyson is nicer and lighter but this should have more a durable battery since it's easily replaceable.

I've actually been using Ryobi batteries with my Dyson and it's the best of both worlds!

No, it did not for me.

I have seen people express disappointment in this one, saying the Brushless one is better. I have this one and am happy with it. Wife likes it too (though she never had a Dyson thankfully): https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../322962854

I bought 2x of the Hatt brushless dual roll vac kit w/4ah battery and charger from Ollie's for $59.99-15% coupon via email.

It's been great. I think the Hart and Ryobi vacs are similar, so I agree the brushless is good.

Yes, however the plastic is fragile. I beat the crap out of mine and broke a tab on the debris container. Still works fine but I had to rig up a Bungie cord. This vacuum really sucks!

Once you get the Dyson with the green laser... it's like trying to go back to dial-up internet from cable, or to HDD from SSD, to frozen dinosaur chicken nuggets from Raising Canes. My wife enjoys vacuuming with our V12 detect slim.

Pro-tip, do not buy Dyson direct, it is so difficult to return. Walmart usually offers the same sales at the same time, and other outlets too. Purchase it from where it is the easiest to return if necessary. Also, I have a Walmart 3 minutes from me. But I have things shipped when possible, because my area, the sales tax is lower than at the Walmart. Tax is charged where it is delivered to for online purchases.

What's the difference between this one and the Pet rated one. I just bought the pet rated one for $100 plus another $100 for the HP batteries.

I have been running my dyson v6 like this for years too. Plenty of adapter kits available on amazon/ebay etc.
My only gripe with the one I got is that it did not seem super sturdy being held in with one screw, but its been fine for years so what do I know!

Also i think there is a voltage threshold to observe. It's fine on an older v6 or anything with lower voltage requirements, but as the vacuum voltage goes higher the cutoff is too close to 18 volts so its not a great experience.

Just noticed the brushless motor models are an upgrade, so I would consider this to have way less lifespan due to the brushed motor, at least when comparing to models like dysons.

You won't. This one with a 4ah would be heavy. But because with the 18v system, you have almost unlimited run time versus dyson. The dyson "suppose" to clean better too. One annoying thing with dyson you will need to change that stupid hepa filter, otherwise it won't work.
